Dear Jeya, Sara and Naomi, our heartfelt condolences. Our loss here on earth is a treasure gained in heaven. We cherish so many wonderful memories of Alex and will miss him very much. Alex lived a godly life and was an example and a blessing to us and to many. We praise God for the wonderful fellowship we enjoyed as a family here in Halifax. So sad I’m miles away to bid you Good Bye! Thank you for being a loving uncle. I will always remember your cheerful smile. We know you loved swimming and you had your family around when you said Goodbye! And you were doing one of the things you love the most, and now you will meet the rest of the family waiting for you in heaven. I vaguely remember you walking down the aisle to marry my aunt. I’m told I was a cry baby and I stripped my clothes and often told how the other the flower girl stayed so properly and I was a disaster. I remember you trying to give me sweets to calm me down. This made me realized I have known you all my life. I was flooded with all the good memories in Kalmunai, Doctors quarters and Elvitigala flat. I practically lived with you guys and my first family trip was with you all. I had a wonderful uncle, one who never really grew old; His smile was made of sunshine forever smiling; Who wasn’t afraid of anything and loved speed And I would be amused by the pictures of his bikes and videos with his bikers It hurts when I think I won't see you for awhile Happy we spent time when you came to Sri Lanka We celebrate your life! I was so very sad and shocked to hear about Alex. I always looked forward to greeting him at church - with his bright smile and warm Hug. Your whole family have been such a blessing to us/me. I will continue to pray for each one of you - wishing I could give you a big hug, but may you feel God's loving arms around you, holding you up through these very difficult days. Dr. Jeya, Naomi, and Sara I was so shocked and saddened by Alex’s passing. You’re whole family was such a blessing to us at Faith Tabernacle Church when you lived in Halifax and of course we are still blessed to have Sara & Naomi with us. My main memory of Alex was the big smile he wore and of course his love of his Harley and above all his love for the Lord and his family. You folks will be in my prayers. May God give you great peace and strength and comfort during these difficult days.
