With broken hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Jacob (Winterton), at the age of 25.
Jacob fought with remarkable courage and resilience against Stage 4 osteosarcoma and succumbed to this terrible disease on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
Though his earthly time was far too short, the love he gave and the lives he touched will endure forever.
His kind heart and uplifting spirit were felt by all who knew him. Even during his most difficult moments, he continued to inspire others with his unwavering strength and grace.
Jacob was deeply loved by his family and friends. His support system was vast, and we are truly grateful to all who showed such kindness, care, and compassion during his illness.
Most notable was the unwavering love and support he received from his partner, Julia (Street). Their love for one another was evident to all who knew them and was a beautiful thing to witness.
Jacob will be deeply missed by his parents, Garth and Lesley; his brother Ryan and partner Alexa (Quartermain); his grandparents Doug and Gail Winterton and Hugh and Shirley Kellock; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Though his journey here has ended, Jacob’s light will continue to shine in all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Jacob’s beautiful life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to attend the visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 1:30 pm.
