Obituary of Steven Watson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Steven George Watson on February 7th, 2025, at 11:24 AM at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, surrounded by loved ones. He was 35 years old.  

Born in Montreal on January 4th, 1990, Steven moved to Whitby, Ontario, in 1998. A dedicated martial artist from a young age, he earned his third-degree black belt in Taekwondo and proudly represented with Team Canada in international competitions, in both Las Vegas (2005) and Bulgaria (2006).  

Steven is deeply missed by his parents, Bruce and Mary (Abraham) Watson, his brother Bruce, and his loyal dog Rex, who misses his best friend.  

Even in passing, Steven’s generosity continued—he donated his kidneys, lungs, eyes and heart, giving the gift of life to others.  

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 15th, from 1 PM to 3 PM at De Stefano Funeral Home, Celebration & Reception Centre (1289 Keith Ross Dr, Oshawa, ON L1J 0C7).  

Steven’s strength, kindness, and passion will never be forgotten
