I am deeply saddened by the loss of my oldest and dearest friend. Bev and I have been friends since we were ten years old. As neighbors in the little town of Cardinal we became kindred spirits and enjoyed many fun adventures together. Her mom and dad were my "second parents". Our secret hideout was the space above their garage where we spent countless hours writing secret codes and strategizing how to meet boys. We took highland fling and tap dancing lessons together. In the year end recital we tap danced on roller skates and had the lead rolls in "Sleeping Beauty": she, blond and shorter as Sleeping Beauty, and me, dark and taller, as Prince Charming. We shared our our first experiences at summer camp, horseback riding, and cottaging in the Gatineau.. We were both heartbroken when her family moved to Ottawa (and later, Kitchener). Nevertheless, we kept in touch and visited back and forth in the summers until her family moved to Winnipeg and my family went to Montreal. Many years later, and married with our own families, we both settled in the GTA and reunited. We always called each other on our birthdays and had many laughs and good times when we got together.
Bev was always full of life, laughter and exuberance. She had a lovely singing voice like her Mom and was always late like her Dad. I will miss you, my dear friend. You are a beautiful shining soul who touched the lives of many. I am grateful to have had the privilege of knowing you. You and many fond memories will forever live in my heart.
My husband Jim and I extend our love and heartfelt condolences to Dave, Debbie, Caroline and your families.

My sincere condolences, Caroline, and everyone in the family. I spent time with Mrs. Fowler through my friendship with Caroline. I remember fondly the Gatineau cottage trip and joint family ski trips. Her presence was always bursting with enthusiasm and humour. My parents loved that she was always up for any activity going, providing a reliable companion for their adventures.
Her memory will provide inspiration to enjoy life to the fullest!

Oh, the times we had! Singing together, 'hat days', theatre trips, shopping, lunches, and just laughing together at life itself. Bev's joyful spirit always filled those around her with love and happiness. Memories of times with her will stay with all of us. Look out heaven, here comes Farkle!
