Obituary of Beverley Fowler

Beverley Jean Fowler (nee Roberts) of Whitby, passed away peacefully on 16th February, 2025 at age 78. 

Bev was loved and cherished by her husband Dave for 57 years. Bev is greatly missed by her daughters and sons-in-law Deborah and Paul Jacobs and Caroline and Frank Smaglinskie, and her grandchildren Ryland, Matthew, Lauren, Olivia and Evelyn. Bev is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Connie and John Adare, and her Niece and Nephews Adrienne, Neil and Bryan. Bev loved her family and was so very proud of them all. 

Bev will be remembered for her amazing sense of humour and style, and how she always lit up a room - even though she was usually late. Her voice and laughter carried throughout an auditorium.

Bev had always been athletic - swimming, curling, cross-country skiing, tennis and pickleball. She was active in her community, from County Town Singers, Oshawa and Whitby Little Theatres, Rotary and PROBUS. 

Bev worked as a Business Manager, coordinating events, speakers and fundraising. She was a fantastic Trainer for Shell and Training Coordinator for CMC. But most importantly, she was the Matriarch of our family, devoted to each and every one of us. She loved family, friends and the arts. She taught us how to treat others and share joy and humour. 

A Celebration of her life and legacy will be held on the 6th of April, 2025 from 12-2 pm at DeStefano Funeral Home (1289 Keith Ross Drive in Oshawa). A reception filled with hugs, laughter and our favourite stories of this wonderful woman. Dress as she lived, full of colour.
