Dear John and family,
I want to send our deepest sympathy at this sad time. Mary Ann worked with both Alan and I first at the Ajax Hospital and then with me at the health department. She was a larger than life personality and could add a reality check to many stressful situations and a burst of humour when we needed it most. We enjoyed many treats that she made and lots of lively chats about her family and the family bakery where she was raised. May your fond memories see you through the difficult days ahead and bring comfort to each of you in the future. She was a legacy and will be missed.

my deepest condolences to the Donahoe family.
I will miss my special friend.
I met Mary Ann through John and Sandra Sutaroski ( my sister and brother n law).
They invited me to go to a party with them at John and Mary Ann's house in Pickering. When we walked in she greeting us with a welcome hug and have a drink and food. She made me feel like I have known her for years, we just clicked, that was over 30 years ago. It was the same with John and those 3 adorable kids she has.
We had alot of fun together, she was always a very positive person, always saw the good in everyone and everything.
I am going to miss you but will hold our memories close to my heart xo

Maryanne and John were our good friends and neighbours in Oshawa for many years.
We fondly remember the backyard barbeques and throw-together dinners our families often shared. Maryanne and I would plan car rallies and pig roasts, bringing together families and friends for loads of good food and fun. Our summer Scrabble games opened up deep conversations on how to solve the world’s problems, often ending with a combined shrug and a laugh.
We enjoyed travelling together to Las Vegas, Nova Scotia, shopping marathons in Buffalo, and just simple trips to the local garden centre.
Maryanne was a great cook, a wonderful storyteller, a fun travelling buddy, and above all, an easygoing and caring friend. It has been a wonderful privilege to have known you.
I will miss you, my dear friend Maryanne.
Lots of love,
Joanne and John Marsh
