Obituary of Nancy Ethel Profenna

Nancy Ethel Profenna (nee Talbot)

January 17, 1927 – March 5, 2025

 

 

We are saddened to announce the passing of our mother at the age of 98 following a long struggle with dementia.

 

She was a devoted wife to Victor (predeceased 1998), loving mother to Judith, Janet (Peter) and Stephen; cherished Grams to Kristen and Kyle; and Great Grams to Remy, Barrett, and Brayden. She is also survived by many relatives in Wales. 

 

Mum was born in Wales and arrived in Halifax as a war bride. She and dad settled in Montreal (our birthplace) before moving to Toronto.

 

Her primary focus was family and friends. She enjoyed entertaining and cooking for all. Duplicate Bridge and painting were her favorite pass-times. She was a world traveller and loved her cruises. 

 

Our family greatly appreciates the exceptional care provided by Age Care Samac.

 

A private Celebration of Life will be held later this Spring.
