In Loving Memory of Jarrod Mathew Strachan

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Jarrod Strachan, who left this world far too soon at the age of 17. He was a shining light in the lives of all who knew him—full of energy, kindness, and an unshakable passion for life.

An exceptional athlete, Jarrod dedicated himself to Baseball, Football, and the gym pushing himself to be the best while encouraging and uplifting those around him. On or off the field, his determination, sportsmanship, and infectious enthusiasm inspired all who knew him.

Beyond athletics, Jarrod was a loving son, brother, and friend. His laughter was contagious, his heart was generous, and his spirit was unstoppable. He had a way of making everyone feel special, always offering a word of encouragement or a helping hand.

He is survived by his loving mother, Jillene Flood, and his devoted father, Erron Strachan. He was cherished by his grandmother, Sybil Flood, and leaves behind his siblings Danielle, Junior, Caulson, Nicole, Nadine, Cherise, Taeshaun, Abraham, and Aden.

He was also deeply loved by his Grand Godmother, Jude Marie Alexis, and his great uncle, Francis Flood, and great aunty, Marie Kiki Didier. His cousins, Maria Fayla Joseph, Michella Gould, Olympia Didier, Sheena Leonty-Victorin (Godmother/cousin), Christy Didier, Owena Didier, Janella Didier, Melinda Didier, Diop Didier, and Beres Constantine were an important part of his life.

He was blessed with the loving support of his godmother and friend, Michelle Bailey, as well as his great uncles, Cletus Didier, Linus, Martin, and Troy, and his aunts Joan, Linda, Gertrude, Claudine, Sheron, and Dona. His godfather, Garfield Gray, also played an influential role in his life.

He is further survived by the Strachan family in Grenada, NYC, and England, the Monroe family in England, the Flood family in New York, St. Lucia, and Canada, the Mitchell family in Grenada, NYC, and Canada, and the Didier family in St. Lucia, along with many other extended families and friends too numerous to mention. The family of Jarrod is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received during this incredibly difficult time.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all those who have offered their love and support during this difficult time. Your kindness has been a great comfort.
