Obituary of Michele Fanelli

Please share a memory of Michele to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with profound sadness we share the news of the passing of our beloved Michele Fanelli at Lakeridge Hospital in Oshawa on May 12, 2025, at the age of 86.

Michele was born on May 29, 1938 in Italy. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mary Fanelli, his daughters Teresa Leblanc and Angela Austin, son-in-law Joseph Leblanc (husband of Teresa), grandchildren Michael and Caitlin, great-granddaughter Isabella, and sisters Lucia & Rosa. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family.

Michele lived life with warmth, energy, and a deep love for the people around him. He was a hardworking man who took pride in providing for his family and giving his best in everything he did. He found joy in the simple pleasures—watching and playing the horse races, catching every WWE match, and gathering around the table for a good game of cards. A devoted family man, Michele cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, especially his beloved great-granddaughter Isabella, who brought him endless happiness and pride. Known for his quick wit and playful sense of humor, he was always ready with a joke to make someone smile. Michele’s kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew him; he was the kind of man who always put others first, thinking of their needs before his own.

We’ll miss you deeply, Nonno. You will live on in our memories and remain forever in our hearts.
