Obituary of Martin Van Dyk
Martin Van Dyk, beloved father, opa, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on June 4th, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on December 3rd, 1945, in Geldrop, the Netherlands, Martin’s life was a testament to love, laughter, and dedication.
Martin was an amazing sailor and engineer, with an analytical and sharp mind, but who also told a lot of jokes to make us laugh, cheered us up playing his accordion, and he had a heart of gold. He had a special smile, a caring heart, and a warm embrace. He was always there for his wife and family through good and bad times, no matter what.
He is survived by his loving wife, Regny, his sons Jason (Yves) and Justin (Tracy) and his sisters Bas (Peter), Mieke (Carl), Ine (Wim) and Gidia (Simon). He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Jolie, Mylie, Kara, Zac, Julien and Sandrine and by his good friend Marian.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at The Brock House, 918 Brock St N, Whitby, ON L1N 4J6.
