Obituary of Lourdes Mary Savarimuthu

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lourdes Mary Savarimuthu, who departed this life peacefully on October 6, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Beloved wife of the late Sebastianpillai Savarimuthu. Loving mother of Florida, Matilda, and Emelda. Cherished grandmother of Michael, David, Andrew, Dilshan, and Angela, and great-grandmother to Ananya. 
 

Born in Karampon, Jaffna, Sri Lanka, Lourdes Mary was the fourth of nine children and dear sister to Pavalam, Pearl, Kunam, Inbam, Rajini, Kamini, Periya Rasa, and Sinna Rasa.

Her warmth, faith, and compassion touched everyone who knew her. Lourdes Mary’s legacy lives on through the family she nurtured and the kindness she shared with all.

Visitation will be held at De Stefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa, ON on Friday, October 10th, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Saturday, October 11th, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Oshawa, ON on Saturday, October 11th at 10:30 am. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her memory and celebrating a life well lived.
