Obituary of Paul Gaudet

Please share a memory of Paul to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our dad, Paul Gaudet.

Paul leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Marilyn. Paul was a great father to Leeanne (Ken) and Shawn (Kelly) and the best grandfather to Bennett and Christopher.

Paul is the son of the late Willie and Marie Annie, brother to George (Anna), Gelina (Laurent) and the late Marcel.

He will be remembered as an uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend to so many.

Born in Cheticamp, NS, he and his brother, George went to work in Newfoundland where Paul met Marilyn. They were married in 1966 in Ontario.

Paul was a long-time employee of Lasco Steel and MCL and retired 21 years ago.

Later in life, he found joy with his classic car. Paul had three passions, people and family, his classic car adventures and spending time in Cape Breton.

We will miss you deeply, dad, along with so many others.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Diabetes Canada or the Charles H Best Diabetes Centre in Whitby.

Visitation will be held at De Stefano Funeral Home (1289 Keith Ross Dr. Oshawa) on Wednesday, October 22nd at 12:00 pm. The family will speak to honour their dad and share memories at 1:30 pm and invite anyone wishing to speak to join.
