Obituary of Carl Vesna

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carl Vesna, age 88, on Sunday October 19, 2025. He died peacefully at his home in Oshawa.

Born in Bowmanville, Ontario, on December 15, 1936, Carl spent his career working with General Motors, where he was known for his strong work ethic. After many dedicated years, he retired to take on his most meaningful role, being a stay at home dad for his daughter Christine.

A devoted husband to Gisele, cherished father to Christine (Digger) and proud papa to Connor. Carl’s greatest joy was his family and friends.

In retirement, he found pleasure and purpose in woodworking and spending cherished time at his summer home in Cheticamp, NS, where he loved the quiet beauty of Cape Breton.

Carl’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. His family takes comfort in knowing he lived a full life, surrounded by love and gratitude.
