Obituary of Anthony Geoghegan

Please share a memory of Anthony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Anthony “Tony” Geoghegan, 67, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 11th at his home in Oshawa.

Born 1958 in England, Tony spent his childhood in London before moving to Canada in the early 1980s, a place he proudly called home for the rest of his life.

Tony was a devoted father to his two sons, Troy and Simon, and was known for his dry humour, loyalty, and unwavering dedication to the people and passions he cherished.

A lifelong supporter of Chelsea FC, Tony rarely missed a match and could always be counted on for spirited commentary, win or lose.

Over the years, Tony embraced many paths – tool and die maker, winemaking shop owner, and later a beloved cab driver who built countless friendships and meaningful connections with colleagues, customers, and members of the community.

Tony leaves behind his two sons Troy (Michelle) and Simon (Lauren), his brother Christopher (Kim), his sisters Sandra (Adrian) and Sharon, and his beloved grand-twins River and McKenna, as well as many close friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.

A visitation will be held on Saturday November 22nd from 12:00 pm -2:00 pm at De Stefano Funeral Home in Oshawa.

If you would like to send flowers, please contact the funeral home directly in Tony’s honour.

Tony will be deeply missed and forever remembered for bringing laughter, kindness, and long-lasting friendships into the lives of so many.

Good night, old man.
