Obituary of Ronald Alexander Gould

With great sadness, the family of Ronald Alexander Gould announces his passing on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa.

Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, on February 7, 1937, Ron was the son of the late Joseph and Annie (Frozel) Gould.

Ron was predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Peter, Edward, and Harold, and by his sisters Eva Titus (Allan), Katherine Davis (James), and Patricia Tower (Donald), all of Saint John, New Brunswick.  He is survived by his sister Barbara O’Brien and sister-in-law Sandra Gould, both of Saint John, New Brunswick.

Ron was the beloved husband of Alice Gould (Eldridge) for 67 years, and a devoted father to Peter (predeceased), Sharon Henry (Robert), and Shelley Hubbard (George).  He was a cherished grandfather to Stephanie Henry, Ryan Henry (Kirstin), Bryan Gould (Casandra), Craig Hubbard (Jessica), and Todd Hubbard, and a loving great-grandfather to Addison, Liam, and Ryley Henry.

Ron is also fondly remembered by his extended family the late David, Emma, and Murray Clark.  Helen and Lew Bickle; John and Marion Clark; and Telisha Laurin.

Ron was a dedicated employee of General Motors for 39 years, a career marked by loyalty and hard work.

Sincere appreciation to his granddaughter, Stephanie Henry, for the loving and compassionate palliative care she provided.

A private family interment will take place at Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens, Whitby.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church (Oshawa) or Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
