Warren and family,
Monica was passionate, hardworking, and deeply devoted to her boys, who were the center of her world. She was a fierce advocate for inclusion and never hesitated to stand up for what she believed in. She carved a path for others to follow, leaving a lasting impact through her courage and conviction. I will never forget the time I spent with her and am so grateful that our paths crossed in this life. My thoughts are with her family during this incredibly difficult time.

I was heartbroken to learn of Monica’s passing. Knowing her, and working alongside her, was a true gift. In the spaces where justice is debated and fought for, Monica carried both clarity and compassion. She believed deeply in fairness, in dignity, and in the power of people standing together—and she lived those beliefs with quiet courage and unwavering integrity.
Monica had a rare way of being both fierce and gentle. She listened deeply, spoke thoughtfully, and never lost sight of the human beings behind the issues. Her laugh — bright, generous, unforgettable — was a reminder that even in serious struggle, there is joy, connection, and hope. I will miss our conversations, our shared jokes, and the ease of her presence.
