Obituary of Cathy Caporusso

With heavy hearts we share the passing of Cathy Caporusso. Cathy passed away surrounded by her three children and closest loved ones on April 18, 2026 at Lakeridge Health Ajax. 

Loving mother to Micaela (Hayden), Domenic and Gianni. Beautiful daughter to Anna and Giovanni Caporusso, cherished sister to Steve (Josie) and Enzo (Julie), and beloved Nonna, aunt, cousin and friend to many. 

Cathy was strong, selfless, independent, genuine and kind. She lived life to the fullest and fought Stage 4 Breast Cancer like the warrior she was. Cathy welcomed everyone with warmth and kindness and lit up every room she walked into. 

Her family and friends were her everything. She put others first, brought people together and made sure that no one was left behind. Her unconditional love and light will continue to shine through her children, grandchild and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her and loving her. 

The visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at De Stefano Funeral Home (1289 Keith Ross Dr, Oshawa, ON L1J 0C7) from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The Funeral service will follow on Friday, April 24th at 11:00 am. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
