Obituary of Nagat Saad

Please share a memory of Nagat to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with deep sorrow, and with gratitude for a life well lived, that the family of Nagat Zaky Saad announces her passing on May 30, 2026, at the age of 80. Nagat was born on February 1, 1946, and lived a life defined by faith, love, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Nagat was the beloved wife of the late Mikhail Mina Saad. Their shared life and legacy of faith continued to shape her family and the values she held dear throughout her years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: John Saad (Michelle), Febe Aziz (Sam), and Christina Veale (Tony). She was also a dear sister to Nagy (Violet) and Nadia (George), and will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. She was a devoted presence in her family, whose love, guidance, and care were a constant source of strength and comfort to all who knew her.

“Taita” was a devoted grandmother to her many grandchildren: Mikayla (Grant), Mason, Matthew, Noah, Jacob, Ethan, Amelia, Willie, Elise, and Joel. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life, and she loved them deeply and unconditionally, with each one holding a special and unique place in her heart. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Adeline.

Nagat’s faith was the foundation of her life. She lived with quiet strength, compassion, and generosity, always guided by her love for God and her desire to care for others. She was known for her gentleness, her patience, and her ability to make others feel seen, valued, and loved.

Though her passing leaves a profound emptiness, her life leaves behind a legacy of love, prayer, and steadfast commitment to those she cherished most. She will be forever loved and deeply missed, until we are united again in the presence of our Heavenly Father.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the Canadian Cancer Society to support breast cancer research and patient care.

Send hope in lieu of flowers
