I was grieved to hear of Lenore’s passing via the notice in The Star and deeply regret that a previous family commitment prevents me being at today’s Celebration of Life!
I well remember Lenore from our High School days and my long friendship with her brother the late David Camozzi and tge many fond memories of visits to the family home and my close acquaintance with Dave, her parents and siblings. Sooo many fabulous memories including of Lenore as a “live wire”! She was a feisty yet very caring and talented person whose sense of humour and of fun was so central to her character. She exuded such a sparkle, beauty and magic that brought joy to all in her milieu whatever the circumstances.
I knew of her musical endeavours somewhat including from chatting with her at a few performances of MLC (Dave McCauley’s and Ann Higgin’s band) in recent years… but was deeply impressed to learn she had released four albums of original songs. What a feat and one that speaks to her creativity. How perfect that those recordings will be shared with her family and friends for years to come but especially for grandson Wallace and other grandchildren that may yet appear. My heart goes out to the family — to Patrick, Anne, Lorraine, Paul and Robert whom I remember so well as if it was all just yesterday (vs 45 or so years ago) — over Lenore’s passing. And so soon after Dave’s passing!
And to Lenore’s son’s Paul, Robert and Nicholas and their family and significant others… soo many share your grief and such deep respect for your mother along with so many fine memories of her. I can hope and trust that this plus the support you’ll receive today and onward will sustain you in your loss.
Again my regret that I can’t join you all today and know too that there are many who share my feelings about Lenore and wish they could be there to celebrate her life… cut short too soon.

Ours was an all-too-short friendship, starting in November 2024 at a Bruce concert. Throughout, and despite her health challenges, Lenore was always sweet, engaging and positive. I am sure her joie de vivre has filtered to her children, whom she clearly adored. My heartfelt sympathies to them at this time.

Lenore Elaine was a wonderful spirit who deeply loved music. It was always great running into her at festivals and music conferences, spending time together discovering new acts and enjoying old favourites together. She will be deeply missed. Godspeed.
