I was deeply saddened to hear of Granny’s passing and wanted pass along my condolences and love to Tanya, Dave and all of Granny’s grand and great-grandchildren. Granny made it so that the word “step” wasn’t in her vocabulary. Granny loved her step children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as her own. She was a fiercely loving, forgiving and beautiful soul. Granny loved her family deeply, she was forever our cheerleader and advocate, she told it to us straight and would stand by us no matter what. I am so grateful that she was Grandpa’s partner in life, love and adventure and for the role she played in my family. I am very thankful to have reconnected with Granny both over the phone and in person a few years back and having the opportunity to introduce her to her great-grandson. I have so many memories but not enough space to write. I think of Granny often and am warmed when I see my son snuggled in the quilt she made for me. Much love always, Stephanie xo

I became close to Dee after my brother Barry brought Dee's daughter, Tanya, into our family. Dee at that time had a dried flower business. Dee would make beautiful dried flower plant arrangements and we would book home parties and we would go together and sell them.
Dee was a beautiful and gracious lady.

Granny was a beautiful earth angel that made everyone she met feel special. Her love and encouragement made me the woman and mom I am today. We are all forever grateful. She is so loved and missed.

I have so many fond memories of staying at the cottage with granny. Butter tarts, story writing, spending time down by the lake and with my cousins. Granny always made us feel valuable and loved. I’ll miss our chats and her advice.
