Obituary of Norman Leslie Lloyd Lyon

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Norm Lyon. He passed away suddenly at the age of 63 on the morning of September 7, 2022 in Oshawa. 

Predeceased by his parents Enid Williams and Norman Lyon Sr. Lovingly remembered by his daughters Sharlene (Marlon) and Andrea (Jon). Proud Gramps to Marlon, Maddie and Hannie. Missed by his brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. 

Norm was a devoted provider for his family and will be fondly remembered by his long time co-workers at Steelcase where he worked as a welder for many years. He had a wonderful knack for finding creative solutions, and an admirable work ethic that he passed to his girls. He had many great memories of his time as a member of Softball Canada and displayed his qualities as a fair and respected umpire to many who loved the game. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a service to celebrate Norm's life on Wednesday, September 14th at 11:00am at DeStefano Funeral Home in Oshawa. Interment at Thornton Cemetery to follow immediately after.
