I met you officially in grade 2 at St. Richard's elementary school. Unfortunately, we ran in different circles back then and didn't get much opportunity to interact. Fast forward to 2012 and we reconnected on Facebook. And since then I've had the pleasure of getting to know you better. I somehow became your Facebook 'admin', helping you retrieve photos from your old accounts and setting up your privacy and security settings on your new accounts... we shared many deep conversations about the past, a.k.a. "the good ol' days", work, family, love and life in general. I was more than happy to be your 'tanning coach' even prepping your for your most recent Cabo vacation. I got to know not only how competitive you were, but also how passionate you were too. You had strong feelings and emotions about your work, your family and your friends. You had a good heart, but sadly I believe, a troubled mind. I was more than happy to hear you out when something or someone was troubling you. That you trusted me with your private thoughts means more than I can ever say. I went through dental Hell not so long ago, and NO friend checked in on me and my wellness more, than you. Again, I was and am grateful for your friendship and thoughtfulness. A little over a year ago, you were one of the first people I told that I had bought a new house and would be leaving our beloved Meadowvale after living there most of my life, and you, with your big passionate heart tapped out a heart warming post about me, and my impending move. You even purchased a pool cue and told me you were practicing for when you would come see my new house and play some pool with my hubby and I. When we last communicated on September 4th, you mentioned being busy on the road with work and that you were craving a decent, home cooked meal and it came to my mind that perhaps the time had finally come for you to come by for the visit you promised, and a home cooked meal was definitely the plan for you! But now it seems the roles have been reversed? You are the one who has moved on, so to speak, and it only seems right that I return the favor of posting about you, our friendship and the great guy that you were. You were a passionate man. You had a big heart. Your family, especially your relationship with your father was very important to you. You loved hard. And my God were you competitive! Which definitely had to serve you well in all you sporting and fitness endeavors. I had recently tried to get you to possibly audition for the Canadian auditions for the TV show "Tough As Nails ", and was eager to cheer you on! Sadly, that never happened. So, rest well my handsome friend. May you find the peace I believe you searched for here on earth. While I'm saddened by the many years we only knew OF each other? I will be forever grateful for the past few years where we truly KNEW each other. Rest assured that if your beloved Toronto Maple Leafs ever win the elusive Stanley Cup, my hubby and I will be sure to celebrate enough for you as well. Until we meet again, your forever friend, Dom.

Paul was truly the kind of guy who would always put everyone else first. He was a tough guy… protector by his nature. He was always there to give you great advice and also hold you accountable to your actions. Paul and I were buddies for over 30 years and will be forever. Recently I went through the darkest moments of my life and Paul was there every step of the way. He literally saved my life. Paul drove back from Ontario to Alberta with me and my kids back in January. One thing Paul taught me was… he asked me every night TELL ME 3 THINGS YOU ARE THANKFUL FOR? No matter how bad things were he called me every night to ask me that question. Damn I love you Paul. Tonight I want to say my three things I’m thankful for…..
YOU PAUL DOLAN!!!!!!!!! Rest In Peace my brother til we meet again.

My condolences to the family. Paul and I have been friends since high school and have really reconnected over the last couple of years having chats about life’s ups amd downs. We even wrote lyrics together that reflected those conversations. I will miss Paul a lot. I hope he’s at peace now. ❤️
