In loving memory of Dany (Denis) Manchulenko Dear Wlodia, Danya and Jason, it was with great sadness that we learned of Denis falling asleep in the Lord. Please accept our deepest sympathy and wishes of peace and comfort at this time of sorrow. Please know that we’ve remembered Denis with a contribution to St. John The Baptist Ukrainian Orthodox Church. I can still fondly remember how proud he was telling us how he loved volunteering in the Parish kitchen raising funds making “патички” (patychky). I must confess though, it took a little while until I finally understood that when Denis was talking “патички” he wasn’t talking of little pieces of wood (that would be a literal translation from Ukrainian) - he was actually talking of tasty meat skewers that the community loved so much. Somehow, I can’t help but feel that Sophie and Doris will be there to welcome their little brother to his eternal home.
