My heart goes out to Jane, Mark , Jim and their families.
I first met Kirke (and Jane) through their son Mark when we were young. From the beginning he seemed like a great person. When he talked to us young teenagers, it was as adults. He talked with us not at or down to us and listened without judgment. He was always there with a guiding hand. He always had smile every time that I saw him and accepting of who you were.
Kirke was an amazing person and his memory and life force will live on through everyone that met him. His values and spirit remind me of my grandfather, he saw people for who they were and not by what others said about them. It is no wonder that both Mark and Jim are the strong, independent and great fathers they are.
My sincerest sympathy and condolences go to all the family and friends.
