Nannu, you will always be a special part of our family. I will always remember the countless times you took me to see your canaries and the wise words you’ve shared with me. It constantly made me smile every time you’d say “Samantha, my good girl!” whenever I would greet you. When my family used to live in Ottawa, you and Nunna always made time to visit us and I would look forward to it each time. I loved when you would play checkers with me and it’d make me laugh when you’d try to sneak food off your plate at dinner to give to our dogs.
I will always look up to you for the life of bravery and love that you led. I am very fortunate to have been able to call you my Nannu.
With love always,
Samantha

Uncle Charlie you will be missed by many - even by us who are afar. My fondest memories are when you visited Malta when I was only 3 or 4 and when you welcomed me with open arms into your home at my last trip to Canada. You instantly made me feel home like all my beautiful cousins did. I am still struggling to think that there’s no Uncle Charlie alongside Aunty Jane and Uncle Joe. Mary, Martin, Kevin, Aunty Jane and Uncle Joe, you have all been in my thoughts every single day and wish I was there to share the last few weeks with you. Hold on to the many precious memories you all have of our dearest Charlie and carry them and share his stories to the next generations ♥️ Loads of love to all and God bless you all ♥️ Katriona & George

Nannu, it is impossible to summarize how much of a profound impact you have had on me. You have left a lasting imprint on my life, and I will carry your strong and loving spirit and abundant energy with me wherever I go.
I will never forget our countless trips into your aviary to tend to your beloved canaries, or our sunny summer walks to the corner store where you insisted I pick out an ice cream bar to take home, though I just wanted to join you for the walk. I will always remember you for the love you never feared to express through your little acts of kindness and generosity. One of the first gifts I ever received was a butterfly net you hand-made for me; it hangs proudly despite never quite fulfilling its purpose and capturing a butterfly.
Thank you for everything you have done and sacrificed that allows our family to live the blessed life we do today.
You are missed dearly. Love you forever.
Your first grandchild,
Adrian

I often look back to my childhood as a collection of joyous moments. I can thank Nannu for creating many of these happy and fun-filled memories.
I will always hold dear to my heart the special trips we took with him to collect sweets and bingo tickets from Siva’s Mart. I vividly remember the pure joy I felt when he beamed, “Taya, my friend!” whenever I greeted him. And, how good of a sport he was when Nanna sent us with a tissue to tickle his ear, awakening him from an afternoon nap. Oh, how it made us giggle.
I will forever cherish the laughter we shared over the years. Nannu particularly enjoyed my reminders of how dapper he looked (a pristine plaid button-up, handkerchief, and jeans were his staples). I will always remember him for his courage, loving nature, and unwavering dedication to family.
I feel blessed to have shared so many special moments with Nannu. I know the love I felt when we created these memories will remain in my heart forever.
With lots and lots of love,
Taya
