I had the great fortune of working with Tara in the early 2000’s at the Whitby Civic Recreation Complex. Tara was a great person who stands out in my mind. She was great to work with! I really respected and admired her! For me the thing that stood out is that she had grit a strength that not everyone possesses. My sincere condolences to Tara’s family and friends.

Tara and I first met at Whitby Rec Centre and she encouraged me in my fitness regime and we shared many great conversations. We stayed in touch as her career took her to other fitness companies. Her love for her son was apparent in everything she did. I will miss her dearly but I'm happy she is at peace. Tara meant a lot to say many. Our Amazon soccer team has so many wonderful memories both on and off the pitch. Through the years we kept in touch as our lives went in different directions. Our get together were always filled with funny stories of the old days but also a time to share about our kids and families. Tara always spoke with such pride about everything Wade was doing. Once I joined I always looked forward to my classes with her, her energy and true dedication to seeing her students succeed translated in every single thing she did at the studio. Tara was a beautiful person, inside and out. Although we were Niece and Aunt, we are friends as well. My love for her is very deep.
Tara was very generous in offering me advice about Nutrition and Exercise.
We had lots of heart to heart chats over the years, much laughter, and a few tears.
I shall miss Tara so much. She was not on this earth for long, but she left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
I can not wait to see her again some day.

Tara came to me for training/ nutrition way back- she wanted her Biosignature and Charles Poliquin referred her to me. What an incredible spirit and energy as she embraced everything harvesting many trophies as a figure competitor. She lead by example and yelled CHARGE from the front ! Q: What was Tara really good at?
A: Tara was such a beautiful soul who was loved and cherished by many. I would like to dedicate my upcoming ride to Conquer Cancer to Tara.
Tara was a true advocate for health and wellness, and her passion for this cause inspired and motivated countless people. She encouraged them to achieve their health and wellness goals, and also inspired them to spread the message to others. Personally, she helped me become a better coach and motivator, and I will forever be grateful for the lessons she taught me. I will always remember the amazing conversations we had over the years. She truly was just an amazing person.
Tara, you will be deeply missed, but your legacy of promoting health and wellness will live on. As I embark on my ride, I will push myself even harder in honour of you. Rest in peace, Tara.

Was it 19 years ago? I first met Tara at NRG. Tara was my very first personal trainer, and we bonded immediately. Tara took me under her wing, and started training me. Tara always wanted to do what she could to help me with my symptoms of MS and keep my body strong to fight the illness. Tara later trained me at home, and we definitely kept in touch throughout my own journey, supporting me emotionally, mentally, and physically.
I am beyond saddened for Tara's passing. My tears keep flowing of sadness. However, I keep my head up just as she'd want me to. I can hear Tara now, telling me to look after myself. What a great mentor/teacher/coach/inspiration.
Thank you Tara for your exceptional love, kindness, support, and friendship.
My condolences to Tara's family, and all who knew this extraordinary woman.
Wade, I recall many conversations with your Mom. Your Mom was so very proud of you; always adorning that beautiful ear to ear smile when speaking of you. She couldn't be more proud of you and it was clear you occupied that big heart of hers!

Tara, you inspired so many throughout your life. I think our relationship really grew over the last few years as we both didn't have much to do other than coach online fitness classes and walk around the neighbourhood. I loved going on walks with you. We laughed, we cried, and we leaned on each other for support. I am going to miss you so much. I am happy to know you are now at peace and no longer in any discomfort. Gone way too soon Tara! Love you lots. An inspiration as a trainer, even more precious as a friend. I loved Tara and will miss her voice, her smile and laugh. I’m heartbroken to say goodbye. She touched so many lives with her gentle spirit and positive nature. She never had judgement and saw the best in others. Even when sick , she always was optimistic and positive and fought hard. As a mother, she was completely devoted to Wade. He was the biggest joy in her life without question. They had a special bond, that transcends life and death. Tara will live on through Wade as he has her kind and gentle heart. It’s not fair. She is gone far to soon, and didn’t deserve any of this. In her short time here, she has made so many lives better, just by knowing her. What a testament to her life. Tara: you were the best. You’ll never ever be forgotten.
