Dear Mike,
We have just found out that your lovely wife Sheila passed away in March 2023. I did send her a few emails which I didn't expect her to reply to, and I remembered her birthday.
We are so sorry to know the truth, never realizing that she could never reply. It was incredible how we connected through Ancestry, so glad she found my tree.
We shared many, many emails and memories about family, interests, jokes and names. Tequila Sheila and Alcatraz to name a couple. Sheila was my special friend, how we would have loved to meet you both but it wasn't to be and we were in Toronto in 1998.
It is so difficult for us to express our sorrow; she will never be far from our thoughts and we are so sorry for the great loss you must be feeling.

I worked with Sheila at The City of Oshawa, 1986-1992. She was an inspiration to have as a work mate and friend. Sheila was always smart, gloriously witty and compassionate along with a deep introspective outlook of just how life works. It took a few decades for us to get together again with our 2 other Oshawa chums and enjoyed a couple of weekend breakaways. It was wonderful to see how she never changed and could still light up a room with her smile. I offer my deepest condolences to Mike and family.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Sheila. As a co-worker of Sheila's for many years at City Hall, I found her to be one of the nicest, happiest, most creative people I have ever met. So many fond memories of not only working with her, but laughing preparing for social events/plays we were in, with Sheila at the helm of course, as she was a fierce leader. She will be so missed.
My deepest condolences to Mike, family & friends on the tremendous loss of this wonderful woman. Rest easy my friend❤️

I was shocked to learn about Sheila's recent passing.
I worked with Sheila at the City of Oshawa from the 1980's until her retirement. I remember working on many IT projects together (and I probably drove her crazy with my many requests and constant edits....) but I most fondly remember working on a team with Sheila to plan and execute the annual Children's Christmas party.
Sheila always had lots of great ideas and had lots of enthusiasm when planning and executing work projects and social events. These traits contributed to her successes and also inspired her colleagues.
Sheila will be missed.

Mike, Andrea and Jenni and family,
I am so sorry for your loss of Sheila! I starting working with Sheila when we were in our early twenties at the Assessment Office in Whitby. Watched her have two babies whom she adored. She always had a smile on her face. She was loved by her coworkers. We were just starting to do lunches and reconnect when Covid hit. Certainly a shock to know she is gone but a relief to know she is no longer in pain.

The first time I met Sheila , she was dating Mike and she was living in a townhouse on Waverly Street north with her two kids . She had a milk carton container of records that I went through carefully . I knew right there , that Sheila had excellent taste in music and life . When they were dating , we went to see Bonnie Raitt with Lyle Lovett twice in Toronto . Austin Texas music influenced her soul as it did Mike’s . Thankful for our time together with these lovebirds .
