I have so many wonderful memories of Barb. Our long lunches and great conversations about everything . Our shared anniversary dinners and so many laughs. I will treasure each and every one for the rest of my life. I will miss her and her cheery smile and her wonderful laugh. I look forward to seeing her again in paradise. I love you beautiful Barb.

To have known Barb was to love her; she was a dear friend. Every visit we had with Barb and Gerald is a treasured memory, she was so welcoming, made delicious dinners and a beautiful person inside and out. She showed God’s love and compassion to everyone with so much Grace. Dan and I consider Barb and Gerald family; we are heartbroken and will miss her terribly; we lost our sister. She fought the most difficult battle of her life with so much bravery and courage, and her faith never wavered. Her trust in God and the peace she had when she knew she was going to see Him soon, gives us comfort and one day we will see her again fully healed. We love you Barbie

Aunt Barb was one of the best people I've ever had the privilege of knowing...her and my Uncle Gerald always welcomed me like the son they never had...& that love evolved with their daughter, my Cousin Angie whom is like a sister to me. I will mostly miss her hearty laugh, and sharing my stories with her, good or bad she never judged me and always gave me warmth and comfort. I will miss you Aunt Barb!

Sweet Barb,
Your love and legacy has left an immense impression on my life through my youth years, into adulthood and now in raising my family. Your legacy lessons for me are many but here are a few:
• life is never too busy to pause, listen and care for others, you were always attentive to everyone’s needs around you.
• family bonds are not necessary blood lines, you made anyone you met feel loved and supported like family.
• home and hospitality are an extension of the heart, your open doors and fabulous hosting fostered many memories.
• faith through Jesus is a firm foundation, through all seasons of your life you declared God’s goodness and faithfulness.
• Joy is not based on circumstances, there is good to be found in everyday.
We are so thankful Gerald, Ang and her family are continuing your legacy through the way they love God and love on others. Thank you Barb, until we meet again.

Didnt realize how hard this was going to be to put into words everything you deeply feel in your heart. Losing such an amazing, loving, kind soul that Barb was, and how she touched my life in a forever way, is too difficult to describe. The words that easily do come to mind when I think of Barb is classy, style, grace, beauty, laughter, caring! We will all feel her loss and the huge ray of sunshine she was for a long long time. There are no words (I have tried hard to find them) to comfort the amazing family she has left behind. We all grieve the loss of Barb, and at the same time grieve for what Gerald, Angie and all the family are going through and for their tremendous loss. Always in my heart. Love you all!

I have so many wonderful memories of your beautiful Momma over the years it’s hard to pick just one. She was always there to lend an ear or give advice and she was beyond supportive. She gave the best hugs and would always say it’s time I called her “Barb” but no matter how old I got, I just couldn’t. Your parents will forever be Mr & Mrs Austin in my books! She will be greatly missed and so fondly remembered. Rest easy Mrs A. Till we meet again…

Dear Angie,
I’m so sorry for your great loss. May Barbara rest in the peace of the angels.
Angie, I know how close you were to your mother … the love you showed your mother was extraordinary like the love she showed you. Both gifts. May the memory of her love continue to sustain and guide you.
My condolences go out to those who now feel Barbara’s loss, especially to your father and to her wonderful grandchildren.
Safe journey home Barbara.
With sympathies,
Gloria LONGO ❤️
