Randy was the best grandfather any child could want, he always had so much knowledge to share . Randy had a big heart , and was always ready for conversation.
Josiah (grandson) will always remember you day in and out as you taught him an abundance of things, that he will forever cherish .
We love and miss you very much!

Dad, I still can't believe that your gone, words are truly unable to express how I really feel right now.
How happy and comforted I am that we got too spent some time with each other in St Vincent for your birthday not knowing that it would be our last time together.
I will miss our long conversations we would have discussing our family tree and history, you loved to talk, you would always encourage me to go for what I wanted you always wanted me to be happy.
You worked hard, I think you maybe one of the hardest working man I know, you knew what you wanted and you went for it, you showed me that hard work and determination looks like and I am going to try to carrying on what you taught me.
I love you dad and will miss you so much, you will forever be in mine and the kids hearts forever,
I just wish we had more time,
kiss Granny and Aunty Joan for me xxxx

I worked with Randy for many years.
I always looked forward to working with him, he often had a new story and words of wisdom, particularly about cars, which were alway inspiring,
even up until today, I have been able to pass this knowledge and wisdom down to my son.
Randy was a great friend and brother, always willing to help anyone, with his unforgettable smile, never phased by anything, forever positive.
A real mentor to me and many others.
He will be sorely missed forever but never forgotten.
" Safe in the arms of Jesus."

A true gentleman, full of life and always positive, the glass was always half full. Thank you for being a great example of a black business man and friend. You will be sadly missed by me and so many others.

A LITTLE WHILE
fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow,
But remember me in every tomorrow.
Remember the joy,the laughter, the smile, the naughtiness, I've only gone to rest a little while. Although my leaving cause pain and grief. My going has eased my hurt and given me relief. So dry your eyes and remember me. Not as I am now, but as I used to be. Because I will remember you all and look with a smile. Understand, in your hearts, I've only gone to rest a little while.

Only rarely do I meet someone who I like almost immediately, in fact if I were to choose the perfect example of such a person it would be Randy.
Always a gentleman, always honest, always a great story teller. As others have said, he went out of his way to help, once he even lent me a van to drive all the way to Ottawa, it was the way he was.
I’m greatly troubled by his passing and wish I had the words to comfort Hyacinth and family during this huge loss.
He was without question a very special person, he’ll be missed by many for a long, long time.

Randy John and I met in the early 80s at the gym and from then became friends. I got the chance to meet his partner and children. He would pay visits to my house and vice Versa. We travelled on different occasions to Holland to visit his family. The family would also come over and we would go together to the carnival yearly. We worked together in his mechanical shop in Bethnal Green and his other workshop in Leyton. After meeting John we were like brothers, very close and always together. He had a strong love for cricket and although I had never been with him to a match I knew that it was one of his passions. It was a great pleasure for me to have had known Randy. May you RIP.

Even though i never saw him often, Grandad was always someone special to me. He would always call me and tell me how I must continue to work hard and protect my mum and sisters.
We had plans for me to move to Canada and learn the business but shortly after talking, that’s when he began to become ill. My cousins and i would go to Canada for the summer and visit him however, in 2016 i went out there by myself. This allowed grandad an i to form a stronger bond as i was the only grandchild with him at the time. We would wake up every morning and head to the garage for work. This was my first taste at what real work felt like. Grandad had me changing tires, doing oil changes, break checks etc. I began to not like the time i was spending out there as i was used to Canada being a place of leisure. During the holiday, I never understood the message and skills he was delivering to me but now that i look back at it, his message was that nothing comes easy in this life, no matter how tired or frustrated you become, once you see the task through, the benefits will shine brighter than if you were to give up.
My time in St Vincent was interesting because I’ve never seen grandad in such conditions (due to his stroke). It was hard for me as grandad would usually do all the talking and I would sit back and take in everything he’s saying. I may wish for just one more conversation with grandad, but i already know one more conversation would never be enough.
Grandad, you are now in a better place and i know you’re looking down on all of us you loved. We will all do you proud in honour of your name.

To Hyacinth, the kids and other immediate family members, we extend our deepest condolences to you at this your darkest hour. Randy was one of those honest, genuine, kind and selfless persons that one seldom has the pleasure of crossing path with in one’s lifetime. In addition to satisfactory service, as customers, my late husband Frank and I have never left the shop without a smile or chuckle after hearing a good story, and as a friend, he has never said ‘no’ when called upon for help. Randy had the ability to converse about any topic and never hesitated to tell it like it really is. He was always willing to help even after retirement; all one had to do was call. My daughter in Atlanta can testify to that as she will often call him for advice regarding any issues with her car.
Randy we will miss your honesty, kindness, knowledge and friendship. You are deserving of a good rest, so rest in peace my friend.
Gem, Jennie-Ann, Sessi, and Frank Jr.
