As children we travelled together with our parents, from Montreal (where you were born), to Halifax, Whitehorse, Vancouver, Edmonton, Shearwater, to
St. Avold in France and then to Dartmouth. We explored, climbed, swam and fought, like siblings do. We then went our separate ways to find careers and spouses and start our own families. We always connected by phone, had summer visits when we could organize them and above all, lots of love. I miss you, little sister, and I will love you always. - Lynn

Please extend our condolescenes to the entire family. This is a very difficult time for a family, but you are close knit, and I'm sure you are supporting each other. Your mum was a wonderful person, who left us way too soon.
Big love and hugs from both of us.
Phil and Antonio xx

Dearest Gail,
I have to thank you for your loving kindness and generous nature in being the one to keep in touch with me throughout the years. Making me feel connected to a distant family that I was never a part of… You reaching out, sharing with me my father’s and your families lives made me feel I was not forgotten. Being my step-sister with a real sense of family. I am so happy I found you, you will remain a cherished part of my life and memories. RIP

My sister in law, my friend. Always honest and sincere and a strong advocate for environmental concerns, a passion we both shared. She was always so proud and supportive to her 3 sons and grandchildren and a loving and supportive wife to my brother Bernie. She was part of what our family affectionately called the "out-laws" who often shared stories of being married to one of us Bates'! We will miss you. Rest in peace my dear sister.
Love Julie & Terry
