Mario Pantene, the true definition of a good man. I met Mario approximately 25 years ago. He and his family moved in next door on Freeston Crescent . Through the years I got to know him , I believe quite well. He was a rarity for these times. I don't think I've ever quite met a man like him. Neighbor and friend.
He had a demeanor of gentleness , kindness and would give without having to receive anything back. He was someone that you could meet out the front and chat to and even confide in . He did things that he wasn't expected to do or asked. He gave me something that I will never forget, a friendship that I'll never forget. It will never be the same pulling into my drive way and not seeing a sign of Mario. He was beautiful. Rest in peace Mario you are definitely one of a kind.

My sincere condolences go out to you Mary and the family, Mario will greatly missed. Mario was one of the kindest people I have ever got to know and I will always be thankful for that.
I met Mario on September 14,1987 at Comstock International in Scarborough and we quickly became friends. We spent time fishing together like the picture attached in our younger days down on Wellers Bay and hunting at Darlington Provincial Park with him and his father to our more recent years of going Ice fishing at his cottage, duck and goose hunting at Darlington this winter past as you see Mario did well that day in the picture attached. We had some great times Turkey and deer hunting with close friend Gord.
I had many good times going to the Ducks Unlimited Dinners with Mary and Mario in our years past.
I will Miss my friend dearly but he will never be forgotten, I will think of him when I'm out in the Boat or on my next hunt.
My prayers go out to you Mary and family. If there is anything I can do please don't hesitate to ask.
