Obituary of Peter Cole

Edward Peter Cole

Peacefully on Monday February 12^th, 2024 at the age of 71, at home with his beloved, Debbie Kean at his side.    He reunites with his parents, Betty and Ted Cole, his brother, Michael Cole, his in-laws, Pascal and Helen Kean and sister in law Kim Kean along with friends.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Debbie, his niece, Jacqueline, his sister-in-law, Karen and several good friends.

Peter worked at Conklin Amusement Inc for five years in the role of operations manager.  He travelled throughout Canada, the US and the Caribbean.   He returned to school and earned a degree from Wilfred Laurier in 1984.   He then worked at SKF for a few years selling industrial bearings.  He retired from Cooper-Grainger in 2018 as their Regional Sales Manager, a role he thoroughly enjoyed. 

Peter was adventurous, curious and a great story teller with many interests.  He appreciated and found pleasure in the outdoors, big game hunting, fly fishing, sailing, boating and travelling.  He was fascinated with aviation, engineering and anything mechanical.   He also enjoyed photography, flying his drones, archery and was a member of the Oshawa Gun Club.    Peter also enjoyed driving and exploring and he knew where to get the best pizza pie in many towns throughout Canada and parts of the US.  Most of all Peter loved spending time with Debbie and friends around the pool enjoying drinks and good food.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and all those at Lakeridge Health who provided support to Peter in the recent months.    As requested by Peter there will not be a service.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
