I grew up listening to stories about Josie & Betty and all their antics from their sister, Aunty Carmel and my Mam, Marie Winters. I loved when Josie and Betty were home in Ireland and the 4 of them would be so happy, you couldn’t help but smile listening to their laughter. My Mam travelled to Canada many times and they always took great care of her. Josie was so kind hearted and loving, she will be greatly missed. Sending condolence to the O Neill family, and extended family, of my dear cousin Josie RIP. It comforts me to know that she is now with her beloved sister Betty, as they were inseparable all through their lives, and all of our much loved, deceased family members.
I have such special memories of the happy times I spent with them, on holiday in Canada, when they would pretend I was their sister and not just their cousin. Our parents were also inseparable when they were growing up here in Ireland, our parents and grandparents taught us that nothing is as important as family, we learned from the best.
Josie and Betty had a special bond with their older sister Carmel in Ireland and although many miles apart, the strength of our family bond remained very strong and we never forgot each other. Words cannot express how much my beloved cousin Josie meant to me and I treasure the memories. xx Marie Winters and all my family
