Dear Mair, my husband, Stan, met with Dennis on several occasions and, over the years and appreciated the chats they had together.
Be assured you are in my thoughts today at Dennis' Celebration of Life Service. My prayer for you today is that you may experience in the days to come, a deeper dimension of the trustworthiness of God, our Loving Heavenly Father to provide for your needs; the strength and faithfulness of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ, holding you close and the ever present comfort and encouragement of the Holy Spirit surrounding you.
Love in Christ,
Win (Hibbins)

I always enjoyed working with Denny at BLEC. He was down-to-earth, practical, and forever ready with a quip to release the tension in a meeting. He was a positive influence on so many young people, including our son. His Christian faith shone through in everything he did. Condolences to Mair and family.

Dear Denny,
I remember the first time I met you when I walked through the doors of BLEC. You had a huge smile and a welcoming heart; that was 35 years ago.
I pulled out our class yearbook of '89 and the title on the cover says, "Our Footprints". It was nice flipping through the pages and bringing back fond memories. I mention this because your "Footprints" have impacted many youth and helped us with our paths with your influence, guidance, and encouragement.
I am reminded of Ecclesiastes 3:1, "There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven". I will always remember my time with you and Mair at BLEC and our visits when you came to Florida. Your "Footprints" have definitely made an impact on my life.
My love and support go out to you, Mair, and your family during this time.

Denny was one of those individuals who could brighten someone's day just by his presence. People were attracted to him with his encouraging and caring spirit and fun-loving nature. We laughed at his quirky ideas, such as his insistence that a good dish dryer makes up for the oversights of the washer. He was a kind and gentle person who was a good Christian role model to many of us. Denny will be fondly remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

My deepest sympathy to all of the family.
I was very blessed to have Mr and Mrs Greaves take me into their home when I attended Georgian College in Barrie. The care and support they gave me helped me to succeed in life. I will never be able to thank them enough.
Mr Greaves heart felt laugh was a delight to hear. I will never forget him. He may have faded from our view but he has now come into view of others who have gone on before in heaven.

Dear Mair and family,
I was so sad to hear of Denny's passing, and you are all in my heart and prayers. I have so many fond memories of Denny from the year at B.L.E.C. and especially from the months on Summer Staff, as well as many get-togethers my wife and I had with him & Mair in the years after. Denny's gentle humour and ironclad integrity had a profound impact on me as I entered adulthood and there are many small ways that I see that I carry his influence with me still today. He was a good man who we all loved very much.

Denny loved sweet treats at WBC potlucks. I remember asking him if he liked my outrageously rich chocolate fudge and he replied that it needed a frosting! Denny was a strong leader who always shared his wise perspective in a “tongue-in-cheek” sort of way. He was a solid rock for us during the worst time of our lives providing a strong and practical presence. We felt loved and cared for when we had no strength.
May God bless you Mair and family with many rich memories in these sad days.

I am so thankful that Denny has been part of my family for so many years. His smile, his kindness, his love and his faith have been a blessing in my life. His willingness to share special times with my family, Christmas times, vacations in Florida, were better because Denny was there. Mair, Melanie and your family, Garth and your family, may precious memories bring comfort and peace to your hearts in the days ahead. I am holding you close in my heart and my prayers. Love, Sian

Hello to all the Greaves family. John and I are deeply sorry for your loss but it is heavens gain! I remember Denny as a very kind man who liked to tease me. As a teenager this actually made me feel special. I remember going to their house often for dinner. There was always some interesting bread cooking. Until we meet again Denny! Much love,
Debbie and John Doody
