Obituary of Zbigniew Basta

Zbigniew Basta, 58, suddenly passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024. He was born October 14, 1965 in Miłkowa, Poland, and emigrated to Canada in the early 90s. He leaves behind his wife, Celina, and his daughters, Patricia (Matthew) and Edyta (Carter), and Wujek Wiesiek and Ciocia Teresa along with their families. As well as siblings in Poland (Józefa [Józef], Jan [Krystyna], Józef [Agata], Stanisław [Maria], Małgorzata [Janusz], Roman [Jadwiga]), along with many more aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Julia and Marian, and his brother Wiesław [Agata].

Zbyszek was best described as a jolly man, always with a smile on his face, always joking around with everyone, laughing all the time. His heart was made of gold, always willing to help anyone out at any time, without any questions. He was a handyman and was able to fix anything he touched. 

He loved gardening and his fruit trees, watching animal shows on National Geographic, finding new projects to do around the house, experimenting with cooking in the kitchen. He loved spending time outdoors by the water, hanging out with friends and family. He will be terribly missed by everyone who knew him.
