Obituary of Stewart Turriff

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Stewart Turriff at the age of 66.

Stewart was a devoted husband to Anne, the love of his life for 41 years and a proud father to Stephanie (Mark) and Andrew (Melanie). His love and devotion extended to his four grandchildren, Ryley, Harper, Hudson and Miller, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride.

Stewart was predeceased by his mother and father, Reginald and Marie, as well as sister Cheryl. He leaves behind sisters Debbie (Alvin), Sandy and brother Jeff (Melinda). Stewart will be lovingly remembered by his extended family-sisters and brothers in-laws, countless nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews.

Stewart had a passion for gardening, taking immense pride in his plants and the beauty they brought to his life. He was an avid sports enthusiast, especially car racing, baseball and hockey, and could often be found cheering for his favourite teams. His beloved truck was a reflection of his adventurous spirit and love for the open road.

Stewart will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humour and unwavering love for his family. His generous nature and warm presence touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories. Stewart’s passing leaves a deep void, but his legacy of love, laughter and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be terribly missed.

In typical Stewart fashion, there are no formal funeral services planned, certainly no pomp and circumstance. A celebration of Stewart’s life will be held on October 20, 2024 where all who knew and loved him are invited to honour his memory.
