Obituary of Norah Anne Murphy

MURPHY, Norah Anne “Noreen” (nee Doyle) July 24, 1929-August 29, 2015, Born in Dublin, Ireland Passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Estates, Oshawa after courageously facing many health challenges with her husband of 63 years by her side. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Noel and her children Miriam (Vito), Michael (Donna), Geraldine (Daniel) and Barbara (Mike); her grandchildren Andrea (Chris), Danielle (Rob), Sal (Jen), Daniel, Jeffrey and Matthew and her great granddaughters Violet and Rosie. Noreen is survived by her brothers Sean (Phyllis) and Seamus and in Ireland her sisters-in-law Pat Doyle and Phil Reddy as well as many nieces and nephews around the world who were very dear to her. Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa(south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport)905-440-3595 on Wednesday, September 2nd from 11:00am until 12:30pm. A Service to Celebrate Noreen’s life will be held in the DeStefano Chapel at 12:30pm. Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated. “Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.”
