Dear Kim,
My sincerest sympathies to you and your family during this incredibly difficult time. As I remember all of the weekends we spent between your cottage and the Dawe's, I can't help but smile when I think of all the good times we had there! I can only hope that these same memories and so many more that you shared with your Dad, gives you some comfort during this very sad time.

Thanks for taking the taking the time to show this " Traffic Cop" real policing many
years ago at " Old 51 Division".
Your knowledge about policing in 51 Division that you shared with me is embedded in my memory bank and has stayed with me to this day.
Thanks for all the good memories .
Jeff Roach and myself had planned to visit you on Tuesday, but it was not meant to be .
I am sure you were tired and decided to go 10-7 for the shift.
Rest in peace Lanny

Well "Cuz" your pain is over. Marilyn and I were reminiscing this weekend about the times with our parents , your parents, Neila and yourself at our cottages and also our homes in Toronto, when we were kids. You were always so much fun with the biggest grin and a great joke to tell. Our moms were Pollards and our dads were Monkmans so we were double cousins. Rest now.
Lynn, Kim and Paul. Our thoughts are with you.
Love
Susie and Ray

“Life is not the way it’s supposed to be… It’s the way it is… The way we cope with it, is what makes the difference.”
Lanny, you were an inspiration for coping and overcoming whatever was dealt to you. Many years have passed since we saw you regularly. Our family has such fond memories of your kindness, acceptance and ready smile. You were the quiet hero who was ready to intercede when someone needed help. Your battle is over. It’s time to rest.
Lynn, Paul, Kim and family, There are no words. A point of your compass is missing. Know that you are in our hearts.
Love Jan and Steve and family

Lanny was an awesome co-worker and friend to many and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was one of the fibres that held the old 51 crew together and because of that he was always there to support those who worked in the trenches with him. Rest in peace Lanny because you toiled in the fields of labour for years on behalf of every Toronto citizen. You won't be forgotten!
Our Love and Prayers to the family.

Gone, but not forgotten.
You can shed tears that he is gone,
Or you can smile because he lived,
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him
Or you can be full of the love that you shared,
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on,
You can cry and close your mind be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
