Thinking of the Christie family this evening, I have childhood memories of your Mom weeding her vegetable garden, knitting sweaters for her girls with the cat beside her and I think there was always a box of Black Magic chocolates in the house at this time of year. She seemed to have endless energy and many interests which may well be the secret of a long and happy life. Jean Ann

My dear neighbors and friends, - I am truly saddened to hear the loss of your Mother. I have such fun/fond memories of our games at your home. I will never forget her locking the cat in the kitchen coat cupboard so Biff could come in to visit. You were truly blessed to have her in your lives to such an amazing age. Rest in peace, Grannie. You will be dearly missed. We will cherish your inspiring 100 years, that now leave us with fond memories, wonderful stories and valued life lessons. It brings us comfort and peace to know that you can once again find joy in the things you loved most - from reading and knitting to gardening and feeding the ducks at the lake, to solving crosswords and thousand-piece puzzles in record time to brisk walks and upside down bicycle exercises to start your day, and from enjoying a pot of tea, peppermints by the handful and dessert after every meal to caring for all the cats that cross your path.
