I was sad to hear of Lisa's passing. My twin boys were students of Lisa's at Bobby Orr public school. She touched their lives with her firm but loving teaching. My thoughts and prayers are with all her family and those who loved her .

Lisa and I worked together at Bobby Orr, and then Lisa taught 2/3 of my children at Seneca Trail PS. Her smile and laugh were infectious. Emily's favourite memory: making a Tim Horton's run at lunch in my Sunfire with a broken passenger seat that wouldn't adjust, and taking way too many drink orders for other staff members - it was hilarious trying to get all of the drinks back to school and into the building (I think a few of them spilled). Jenna's favourite memory: baby-sitting baby ducks in the classroom, while they ran around. Avery's favourite memory: anytime Ms. Ducharme would laugh out loud - she had a great sense of humour.

Mr. and Mrs. Ducharme (Bob and Susan) and David,
Lisa was such a special part of my teenage, college and early career years. She was always happy, smiling and there to lend a shoulder. Lisa was the easiest person to talk to and regardless of the topic- she cared, because it meant something to them.
I have spent the past few days thinking back about the laughs, fun, tears, parties, trips, bike rides, roller blades, late night tea runs, and all the other shenanigans we were involved in together. I was one of the lucky ones to have known your daughter (and sister).
She will be sadly missed and her life was taken too soon. Please accept my deepest condolences. She will live forever in my thoughts and memories.

I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of Lisa's passing. I worked with Lisa for a short time at Bobby Orr PS and although it was a short time I felt like I had known her my whole life. I would like to share a story in hopes that it brings a smile to her loved ones faces during this difficult time. Lisa decided that her and I could take on the rather big job of baking cookies for the showing of the Polar Express the day before Christmas break. I think we had to bake something like 12 batches of cookies, so off we went with a bottle or (2) of wine and some cookie ingredients to her house. This is where I learned how much trouble we were in because it was the night before the movie showing at the school and Lisa had no idea how to bake cookies! Oh how many laughs we had that night! This included burning a batch of cookies and smoking up her kitchen to having to get creative with the lack of ingredients we had,I believe a phone call to her Mother was also needed that night and I think her Mom even saved the day and baked a few batches for us! needless to say the cookies were made and to our knowledge they tasted great to the kids??? How lucky I feel to have had the privilege to meet such an amazing, smart and kind person. May she rest in peace. Until we meet again my friend!

Dear family and friends,
Please accept my deepest sympathies. Lisa was such a kind and generous person. Sadly, we grew apart after high school, but I will always treasure the friendship we shared as teenagers. One memory in particular is when she was there for me after my first break up. She was a very caring and reliable friend to me. It seems silly now, but at the age of 16 it felt like my world just caved in. She dropped everything to comfort me, and with a few friends did a wonderful job cheering me up. It was a spontaneous and creative idea on her part, to channel our inner child and buy toy guns from a nearby dollar store. We ran around the parking lot playing a good ol’ fashioned game of cops and robbers. It was ridiculous, but we laughed and laughed at ourselves and each other. It was exactly what I needed that day. I always have and always will appreciate her friendship. May she rest in peace.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Lisa's passing. I met Lisa while going through radiation treatment at Sunnybrook in 2010. She was a lovely young woman. We shared our hopes and fears together and she was so friendly, warm and caring . She will be missed.
