JUDITH LANCTOT
June 30, 1947 - February 11, 2016
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Judith Lanctot at the Palliative Care wing of Lakeridge Hospital. A cancer survivor of 17 years, Judith was born in Budapest, Hungary on June 30, 1947. On the second attempt, with Judith age 10 and brother age 3 in tow, her mother escaped the revolution and arrived to make a life in Canada. Judith is survived by her husband Philippe, her children Vanessa(Tim) and Mark(Kerry), her brother Thomas, and her 3 grandchildren Alyssa, Ryan, and Tyler. The family would like to thank the medical staff at Lakeridge Hospital, especially the Supportive Care Unit, F4, for the attention and care they showed Judith and family during that most difficult journey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeridge Health, Oshawa, Ontario. A private reception will be held at her family's home. Memories may be shared at www.destefanofuneralhomes.ca
