Obituary of John Elson Wallace
Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John Elson Wallace “The one I loved with, laughed with and cared for.” Passed away at the age of 78 on Thursday February 18, 2016, surrounded by the loves of his life. His wife of 46 years Jeannie, daughters Samantha (Steve), Natalie (Sean), Allana (Michael), Grandchildren: Tyler, Dria, Max, Vienna, Sydney, Jack and Charli
He loved: his siblings dearly Aileen, Shirley (Allan), Pauline, Maxine (Frank) and Brother Alan. His in-laws: Jim, Carol, Debbie and Stewart.
To describe John as a hard worker would be an understatement. Very few would know of his many accomplishments and he liked it that way. From farm life to exploring the world by ship, John always remained humble allowing his actions to speak for him. And what they told us was that he was a great listener, helpful, astute business person, patient, easy going and one of the finest people you would ever meet. It was the simple things in life that gave him the greatest joy; bonfires, country music, singing, pie, sports, cards, horse racing, chopping down trees, hiking, telling jokes, taking baths, family dinners, hunting, fishing, golf, country drives, shopping for food, nature, telling stories about his grandchildren and berry picking. He would do anything for his family. His world was built around them and he wouldn’t have changed a thing.
Dear family and friends, please never underestimate what your love, support, food, visits, calls, cards, and thoughtfulness meant to John. He truly appreciated everything and was overwhelmed at times wondering what he did to deserve it all.
John repeatedly said that he never thought he would have ever been so loved… maybe that is because he didn’t realize how easy he was to love. He will always be remembered for his hospitality, his amazing prime rib, sincere kindness, calmness, strength, generosity, being positive, and his willingness to help anyone. We look forward to seeing John again in that paradise earth that God has promised where there will be no more sickness and death Revelation 21: 3 & 4.
In loving memory of John please share an unexpected act of kindness toward someone in need. As were John's wishes, no services will be held.
