Vicky was the sister I never had. I always felt better after I talked to her. We shared so many laughs together, stories and good times. Looking back I do not think I ever saw her angry, just always trying to make everyone else happy.
She was my mentor and taught me how to be the person I always wanted to be. She helped give me the confidence to show the world that person, and achieve success in doing that.
She will be missed so much but I know she was needed elsewhere for a much bigger purpose.
My love goes out to her family and her soul mate John, her partner in everything. She will always be with you, watching over you.
Love you always Vicky.
Your Lynnie.

The Rose Beyond the Wall
A rose once grew where all could see,
Sheltered beside a garden wall.
And, as the days passed swiftly by,
It spread its branches, straight and tall...
One day, a beam of light shone through,
A crevice that had opened wide~
The rose bent gently toward it's warmth,
Then passed beyond to the other side...
Now, you who deeply feel its loss,
Be comforted ~the rose blooms there~
Its beauty even greater now,
Nurtured by God's own loving care.

Many Friday nights were spent around Joe's campfire. Many of those nights we waited for your arrival.... if John was busy with work or you both had another function to attend, before heading to the lake for the weekend. You always entered the campfire ring with big smiles on your face, no matter how stressful your week had been. You were a breath of fresh air Vic... always with that smile, always with a kind word without judgement of any sort.
Remember the big "Canning adventures" in the fall... so happy we got to share on some of them with you both. Or the neighbourhood dinners on your deck, well into the moonlight. Your excitement on viewing a grand prix race or attending a music concert for someone you enjoyed. We all had the pleasure of sharing this through your kind heart.
So now you walk with the angels Vicky... fitting, as I am sure your smile will brighten their time as it did ours.
