Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on April 6, 2016 at the age of 92 years. Loving and devoted husband for 60 years of Gilda. Dear father of Caterina (Joseph) La Torre, Carmela (Donato) De Filippis, Vito M. (Doriana) Deligio and Tonia (Enrico) Osso. Cherished Nonno of Anthony, Vito, Joseph, Rosemary, Nancy, Victor, Daniel, Nicholas, John, Victoria, Sophia and Bis Nonno of Olivia and Serena. Vito will be sadly missed by his many family and friends. His grandchildren will always remember his wisdom, advice and tales of his life experiences. Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport) 905-440-3595 on Friday, April 8th from 2:00-4:00pm & 6:00-9:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary of the People Catholic Church, 570 Marion Avenue, Oshawa on Saturday, April 9th at 11:00am. Entombment to follow.
