Obituary of Janina Doskocz

DOSKOCZ: Janina Our dearest Babcia went to be with the Lord on Saturday November 12 at the age of 93. Loving mother of Krystyna and Roma. Incredible grandmother to Arleta, Artur (Tammi), Dorota (Matthew), Filip (Izabela), Anna (Artur), Ivonka (Karol) and Dominika. She will be dearly missed by all of her 16 great grandchildren that she was so proud of: Stefani, Michal, Antoni, Sebastian, Maximillian, Isabella, Lexi, Olivia, Gabriella, Sofia, Benjamin, Samuel, Elizabeth, Emilia, Lucy and Zuzanna. Always remembered by her many nieces and nephews, especially Janina. She leaves behind many of her extended family and friends here and in Poland. Babcia loved socializing and telling her rich life stories and spending every minute in the company of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a zest for life and unbelievable strength. She enjoyed cooking, baking and making her special sugar cookies, pierogi, and always made sure we all had enough honey to last us a year. Her presence at all family gatherings will be profoundly missed. She is predeceased by her sisters Jagusia, Stasia, Kazia and brothers Michal and Marian. Visitations will be held at DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Dr. Oshawa, (905) 440-3595 Wednesday November 16th, from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Parish Prayers will be said at 8:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, 411 Olive Ave. Oshawa, on Thursday November 17th at 11:00am. Burial at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations to The Hospital for Sick Children would be much appreciated
