KOROSZTOS, Laszlo (Laci)
Laszlo (Laci) Korosztos was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, and the best of friends anybody could have. He departed from us on the 27th of December 2016, to be with his Savior and God.
He was a kind, giving, wise, gentle, compassionate, fun-loving man, who could be always counted on in time of need!
Laci was born in Budapest, Hungary to Laszlo and Mariska Korosztos on April 20, 1939. With the help of his older brother, Gyozo, he came to Canada in 1969.
With lots of ambition and Gyozo’s encouragement, he went back to school and became a licensed electrician. Shortly after, he was hired by GM, and worked for the company until his retirement 19 years ago.
His family was his top priority in life. Laci will be greatly missed by his loving wife Evi, only daughter, Kamilla, his sons, Attila, Lacko, and Csaba. Also his daughter-in-laws, who cared for him greatly, and his son-in-law, Rob. His many grandchildren, Kristof, Izabella, Attila Jr., Richard, Akos, Patrik, Syntia, Gabi, Melanie, Olivia, Daniela, Liam. And great grandchildren, Sebastian, Bruce, and Maya. His deceased older brothers Gyozo and George and his two younger brothers, Peter and Karcsi, who live in Budapest. Laci also had many nieces and nephews who he loved, and they loved their Uncle Laci.
And last, but not least, his friends, who feel a great loss by losing their loyal, trustworthy, fun-loving, lifelong, and special friendship with Laci.
The Lord blessed us with knowing Laci, and having him part of our lives all these years, and we feel our world is much less without him.
Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport) 905-440-3595 on Monday, January 2nd from 2:00-4:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm.
