Kyriakopoulos, Efstathios (February 2, 1942 – March 7, 2017)
It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Efstathios (Stathis) after a short illness at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa, on Tuesday March 7, 2017 at the age of 75. Stathis, beloved soul-mate, husband and best friend to Frederiki for 47 years. Cherished and proud father of Vicky Liamakeros (Kostas) and Thomas Kyriakopoulos (Marianne). Loving and generous Pappou to Eleftherios, Efstathios (Big Stathis), Frederiki, Efstathios (Baby Stathis), Christopher and Eleni. He will be dearly missed by his siblings and brother in law in Greece: Xakoustoula (Stelios), Giorgios (Yarifalia), Maria (Apostoli) and Bezostratos (Despina). Dear brother in law to Niki (Fotis) and Anna (George) and loved Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday March 9th from 1-3 pm and 6-8pm at DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa L1H 7K4 (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport)905-440-3595. The funeral service will be held at Evangelismos Tis Theotokou, Saints Nectarios and Gerasimos Greek Orthodox Church (399 Farewell Street South, Oshawa ON L1H 6M1) on Friday March 10th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hellenic Orthodox Church of Oshawa – Evangelismos at the funeral home or at the church address above.
