I am sorry I didn't attend the funeral, I just learned about his passing today Feb 20. Robert sent his condolences from Cambodia. Bob just sold my mothers house and my childhood home. I knew it was in good hands and he did a wonderful job for my sister and I. I just visited Bob in his office on the 6th of Feb and shared some memories and I gave him some photos of our camping trips with Cameron and my son Robert. We laughed about those times. Bob always had a smile when you saw him and laughed at my jokes. Even if you hadn't seen him for years he greeted you like a long lost friend. We had planned to get together with Cameron and Bob when my son Robert returns from Cambodia for a visit.
Even though we didn't spend much time together now I will miss his presence greatly as I know the family surely does. Bob, you have left a considerable legacy.

My sincere condolences to Bob’s family and friends. He was truly a lovely person and always made the day or the deal go better. I had been my pleasure to work with him on many deals over the years. When it was Bob’s listing or offer you just knew it was technically correct and his warm ways made It so much less stressful.
Rest In Peace Bob. You truly were one of the good guys and are deeply missed.

Bob was one of the Great ones! The world was a better place when you were around Bob. I've known Bob since I started working with him at Royal LePage over 25 years ago. I too have great memories of lunch at "The Dog" with Bob and the gang. Todd and I have a fun memory of going to the hockey game with Bob in one of the private boxes...we never laughed so hard. So very, very sad to learn about Bob's sudden passing. Bob and I were high school sweethearts and shared a special bond way back then. As it often does, life took us in different directions and we lost touch. I am so happy to know that he enjoyed the blessings of children and grandchildren. So many memories of good times "back in the day" on Dalrymple where my parents also had a cottage...Saturday night parties, baseball games in the cow fields and plain old innocent fun, all usually organized by Bob. My sincerest sympathies to Donna, Karissa, Cameron and all the family. Bob will have a special place in my heart always.

Bob was my best man way back in 1974 when I married my current wife, Judi. Bob and I, long with my brother Ted and Bob's late brother Jim, who was also Ted's best man, were childhood friends, especially up at the cottage on Lake Dalrymple. Our parents both had cottages on Campbell's Beach. Bob had a terrific sense of humour. I can remember playing football and baseball with Bob and our friends in the farmer's field behind the Edwards cottage, after climbing over the crib full of rocks. Bob would always be joking around to entertain us. Alternatively, we would all go swimming off my parent's dock. Coincidentally, Bob and Jim lived only a block away from us in Toronto. In the winter, we played hockey at Bowmore Road School near Coxwell and Gerrard where we lived. Some nights were awfully cold, but we played anyway. One time he asked me to go bowling with his other friends. I obviously didn't know how to dress for the occasion as I wore my best slacks and shirt. Bob was kind enough to point out, without making fun of the situation, that jeans would have been just fine. He was that kind of friend. Although we grew apart in recent years, he was the type of friend that you would just pick up where you left off, the last time you were together. I hope that these memories reinforce what his family and friends already know: he was one fine gentleman. Rest in peace Bob.

I had the pleasure of working with Bob for the past 9 years,and he certainly was one of the best! His humor, his smile and warm eyes I will miss dearly. Mr. Edwards was such a sweet, dear man. Bob loved to do lunch. He was always the instigator to get some office mates together. I would get a page from the office “Lunch at the Black Dog 12:30. Should I order you a beer?” Various people would attend, but quite often it was just me and the boys. It was Bob and John Evanoff, Shane Miller and Todd Miller. We would share real estate horror stories, our struggles raising children and making ends meet. Sometimes we would just talk nonsense and laugh till we cried. Thanks Bob. I will always cherish those lunches and you.
