I Garry Chernest have very very fond memories of Hector Mason My colleague, friend & inspirational leader in life itself. Hector meant more to me than the regular Ontario Regional Sales Manager later was Promoted to the National Sales Manager for Bic Inc consumer products division.
Hector was my first Ontario Regional Sales Manager for Bic Inc after graduating from University where I was employed from 1980-1985 where Hector had the utmost faith in me by promoting becoming the Zone Manager of South Western Ontario based in London Ontario this was after I earned record sales in Toronto Western region two consecutive years replacing John Ayton who became National Marketing Manager,
I also earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Economics & Finance then later an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. Hector Mason always had time for me with every phone call we had together while I was Zone Mgr of SW Ontario. In fact Hector was more than an Ontario Regional Sales Mgr he was my mentor & my spiritual leader.
I best remember those National Sales Meetings in Las Vegas when Bic President was Hector Lazzortto, National Sales Mgr Doug Beckingham, John Ayton National Mkt Mgr, Harry Zhur Operations Mgr, Jeff Chaulk Ad Speciality Mgr, Ray Winter Western Regional Mgr, and the rest of the Canadian sale staff like Rob Purdy, me Garry Chernest, John Arbour, Lucille Norlie, Lorna Hawk, Grant Marcotte, Ostap Dymtriw, and Bill Guthrie, we were a Super TEAM all hired by Hector Mason who had the utmost faith in all of us...
Hector Mason was more than my first Sales Manager he was a quiet leader amongst men with very large egos of which I was one of them
but Hector always had the time to speak to me to comfort me and to provide me with the best advice to succeed in everything we did.
Hector was a true leader, He will be sorely missed by all who him, A quiet leader who got the job done his way without accepting the accumulates but always passed it on to his sales staff which in short the Bic sales force was his children being so darn young back in our day
Rest in Peace Hector Mason You were one great man to many of us !!!
Cheers
Your Canadian Partner in Success

Dave, Sharon and family:
So very sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad, Dave. We read his story and found it interesting to learn he was one of the kids who would like to trade their lobster sandwiches for peanut butter sandwiches! ....something we heard about when visiting in Novafa Scotia. His story tells of a very full and interesting life.
Sending our deepest sympathy
Linda and David Noon

Our condolences to all of you, the MASON family.
Your husband, father, grandfather was a very special man with a sense of humor like no other!!
He had a calm demeanor with a sharp mind and his sense of humor he tailored to whomever he was in front of, which I am convinced benefitted him to be so successful in sales!
He was relatable and that person that everyone felt comfortable around. He was a true gift to everyone that met him.
I know all of you have many memories of him and cherish those, share them with each other and this will keep his spirit alive...he would want that!
XO Ruth, Geoff, Jody and Robin

Our Deepest Condolences to The Mason Family for the loss of a Husband, Father, and Grandfather.
Hector was more than just a neighbour he was a friend ...in my heart I've secretly adopted him as my dad too. Hector and Carol were the first to welcome us to the neighbour hood. I loved his stories , when I found out he was from Nova Scotia, I knew we were going to be friends ...Hector and I didn't like the cold weather so every Fall he'd say get out the Red sweaters Rose, winters coming and so I wouldn't see him till spring, Your Gone But You will never be Forgotten.
Rest In Peace my Friend ...I know you're in a better place.
Blessings Always
Richard & Rosemary Boissoin
