Dear Cherlyn, Madeleine and Meaghan, cherished son of Brian and Margaret. Dear brother of Andrew and stepbrother of Denise, Kevin, and the late Glen.
I am sorry I was not there to say goodbye to you Nick. He told me of his battle with cancer and told me he had not shared with anyone else in the Regimental family of his battle with 4th stage prostate cancer.
There isn’t a time that goes by that I do not shed a tear when I reflect on the many memories of the times we shared together. You were never judgmental about anyone and were always willing to share your wisdom, knowledge, and humor with all who sought it out.
Forever those memories will never fade, and when my day comes to pass, I pray that you will be there to greet me my friend.

I was very shocked and I’m so very sorry. I just want to say that you guys always seemed to be there for me and Deeanna when I needed someone. And Im so glad someone (you guys) were there for us. Please call if there is anything I can do. Anything. Brenda 289-675-1950. We have moved to Courtice. Please call even just for a coffee/tea. You guys were my guardian angels.

I just found out about Nick's passing. Hope I am not the last to know.
I remember Nick from when he was a recruit and watched him advance through the ranks. He was a very good soldier and no matter what his rank, had time for his fellow soldiers and the men under his command be it a word of encouragement or suggestion and he also listened to them.
To say he will be missed is an understatement.
My condolences to his family and friends, he was one of the good ones.
Stand down, Nick. You have done your duty.

My deepest sympathy to family and friends. I did not know Nick well. He was in prevention and I was in suppression. We did not work together on the trucks but we saw each other at the fire station. He always took time to talk with me regarding work and
other matters. He will be missed! I will keep Nick and family in my prayers.
God bless,

I am so sorry to hear of Nick's passing.
My earliest memory of him was around 1982, with Nick on the parade square at Fort York giving me a (probably well-deserved) blast...with that Nick Webb smile on his face.
He was a professional, steady and a pleasure to work with. I enjoyed his company, as so many did. I am sorry he's gone, and I will miss him.

Dear Webb family,
I am. like all saddened by Nick's passing. He was a wonderful person and always a pleasure to talk to and made a lasting impression on everyone he met. My thoughts, prayers and love are with you.
This poem made me think of him, I hope you find some comfort in it.
Turn Again To Life
If I should die and leave you here awhile,
Be not like others, sore undone, who keep
Long vigils by the silent dust, and weep.
For my sake - turn again to life and smile,
Nerving thy heart and trembling hand to do
Something to comfort other hearts than thine.
Complete those dear unfinished tasks of mine
And I, perchance, may therein comfort you.

Deepest condolences to Nick's wife, family and friends. In 32 Signal Regimental family and the Vintage Signals Team we knew him for such a short time. Friendly and easy to like, Nick quickly became a mainstay of our Line and CRTTZ truck projects. Even as he fought his personal battle he still turned out for our displays and was quick to offer to help. He is greatly missed. For our team members, Nick will always be sitting in the Line Truck with a casual arm leaning on the door sill. We feel you are still with us. Cherlyn, Maddie, and Meaghan, please accept our sincere condolences on Nicks untimely departure. We were friends for over twenty years. He was one of the founding members of our unit "Honour Guard" using his knowledge and experience of the military to mould this group of misfits into an orderly, smartly dressed team, that has represented the CCGA for many years, not only in Ontario, but also in Quebec and the USA. He had an exemplary devotion to duty. Nick was fiercely proud of his family, his English heritage and his accomplishments. He was a shining example to us all. Nick, thank you for your friendship.
